The Global PLM 2007 Survey is a survey of the status of PLM practice and thought in manufacturing and engineering companies throughout the world in 2007. * Survey Objectives * The Global PLM 2007 Survey has two objectives:
The survey is in two parts. The first part addresses the current situation of PLM, the second part looks towards the future. The first part of the PLM survey has been prepared on the basis of meetings and telephone discussions with 32 companies. Based on their input we developed thirty multiple-choice questions that can be answered quickly and will lead to an overview of current PLM thought and practice. These are questions that were frequently asked by PLM Directors and Managers. Questions such as:
PLM Managers and PLM Directors often have many questions about how PLM is viewed in other companies, and the second part of the survey will give them the opportunity to get the answers. When returning the completed first part of the questionnaire, they will be able to propose questions for the second part of the questionnaire. After we have received these questions, we will compile the second part of the survey, and send it to all those who answered the first part. We expect that the second part will have more than twenty questions. After we've received the answers to the second part of the survey, we'll compile an overview, and send it to all those who participate. * Survey Timetable * The survey is expected to run from April to July 2007. * Survey Confidentiality * Survey answers will be treated as confidential. Names of participants will not be published. * Participation in the Survey * PLM Professionals in engineering and manufacturing companies can participate in the survey and get the answers to their questions. They can request a copy of the first questionnaire here. * Time to Answer First Survey * The first questionnaire takes about 10 minutes to answer. |
