Frankfurt Meeting 25 November 2003 Objective The Objective of the Meeting is to enable people from :
After this Meeting in Frankfurt it should be possible to create the PLM Interest Group. 38 delegates from 32 organisations and 12 countries took part in the Oxford meetings. Participants were from Canada, Europe, New Zealand and the USA. PLM vendors, users, system integrators and consultants were present, as were participants from universities and government organisations. The need for a neutral PLM Interest Group was widely agreed. A feedback form was provided to collect detailed thoughts about the many issues that must be addressed when setting up such an Interest Group. The form was also made available to those people who were unable to attend the meeting. The resulting feedback will be discussed at the November meeting. The need for the PLMIG It is generally agreed that Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) will become one of the most important business activities for manufacturing companies in coming years. Currently though, there is much confusion about PLM. As a result, PLM development, implementation and use are not as effective as possible. The mission of the PLM Interest Group would be to help overcome these and similar problems. Working together on subjects of mutual interest, people from various types of organisation will be able to progress faster than if they work alone. Reasons to attend
