![]() i2 Technologies, Inc. and Primavera Systems, Inc., provider of project management, control and execution software, announced that i2 has acquired an equity interest in Primavera. MXintegrations, a business unit of The van der Roest Group, Inc., announced its launch. This new software company will be dedicated exclusively to providing high value enterprise application integrations for MatrixOne's eMatrix 9 Intelligent Collaborative Commerce framework. Mentor Graphics Corporation announced that it has acquired the Harness Software Group (Manchester, England), a leading provider of wire harness engineering software used primarily by the automotive and aerospace industries. Oce-Technologies B.V. and Real Software N.V. announced their intention to join forces in a new joint venture, Oce-Real Business Solutions B.V. Oce-Real Business Solutions will supply total systems for creating documents automatically from company databases and from legacy and ERP systems. * Financial results * SDRC announced it estimates that its third quarter revenues will be approximately $105 million, substantially below expectations. Bottom line results are expected to be about break-even. A complete earnings report will be released on October 23. Total revenue from Metaphase and other e-business software operations exceeded $39 million and grew compared to last year's third quarter, while total revenue from SDRC's design operations was lower than the previous year. Tecnomatix Technologies, Ltd. announced that it expects revenues and earnings for the third quarter ended September 30, 2000 to be below analysts' expectations. Revenues are expected to be approximately $20.0 million with a net loss of approximately $5.0 million on a proforma basis. The Company plans to report final third quarter results on October 25, 2000. Engineering Animation, Inc. announced that Siemens Automotive, a tier-one supplier of automotive electrical-electronic systems and components, will implement EAI's VisView and VisMockUp for corporate-wide digital mock-up and product development collaboration. ![]() MatrixOne announced that Posten Sverige, the Swedish Post Office, has chosen MatrixOne's eMatrix to build an eBusiness solution. Implemented with assistance from MatrixOne's partner, Technia AB, the solution equips Posten Sverige to adapt to the changing demands of Sweden's B2B and B2C marketplaces. MatrixOne, Inc. announced it has been awarded a contract by Sanders, A Lockheed Martin Company, to standardize operations on its eMatrix collaborative solution. The eMatrix architecture will support numerous initiatives at Sanders, including the F-22 Program and the Joint Strike Fighter Program. Motiva announced that by deploying its eChange Solutions product, Enbridge Pipelines was able to use the Internet to provide access to design information from all field locations and eliminate delays of up to three to six months in sharing information on changes to facilities and equipment. Optiwise Oy, a wholly owned company of Stonesoft Corporation, announced that ABB Motors Oy opted for Optiwise. PTC announced that it has received a new three year contract from Lockheed Martin Space Systems, a business unit of Lockheed Martin Corporation. Unigraphics Solutions Inc. announced that it has signed an agreement valued at $850,000 to implement its software to aid in the development of the next-generation Eclipse 500 jet. Eclipse is utilizing UGS' Unigraphics CAD software and ProductVision enterprise visualization software. Unigraphics Solutions Inc. announced that Ohio State University has selected 200 licenses of Unigraphics, UGS' CAD/CAM/CAE software suite, for use within its College of Engineering beginning in the fall of 2000. The university has also licensed Parasolid. Unigraphics Solutions Inc. announced a two million dollar contract to supply Smit Transformers B.V. (Nijmegen, Netherlands), a leading manufacturer of large power transformers, with Unigraphics CAD/CAM/CAE software, iMAN, consultation and training. Verity, Inc. and MedSpecialists, Inc., an e-health company focused on serving the clinical needs of medical specialists through the Internet, announced that MedSpecialists has selected Verity's K2 Toolkit portal infrastructure technology to power its family of secure, specialty-specific portals. Workgroup Technology Corporation (WTC) announced that Xandex, Inc. has purchased WTC's ProductCenter collaborative product data management solution. * Developments * Agile Software Corporation announced a new Internet access point for Agile Anywhere named hCM, or the Agile Anywhere HTML Content Manager. Agile Software Corporation announced Agile Unwired. Agile Unwired, currently in customer trials, enables mobile Agile customers and their supply chain partners to access and manipulate product content via wireless devices. Agile Software Corporation announced the Agile Integration Server, an XML-based integration solution that makes the product content held in Agile Anywhere available to a wide range of business applications and users, both internally and across the global manufacturing network. Agile Software Corporation announced Agile Buyer 6.0, the next release of its solution for sourcing, quoting, and multi-variant negotiation of direct (production) materials. Agile Software Corporation announced Agile Anywhere 7.0, the next release of its collaborative manufacturing solution. Version 2.1 includes support for Mechanical Desktop 5 and AutoCAD2000i. The software also features HyperCache which dramatically boosts system performance. Modultek announced Aton version 2.0 including Aton Portal Service, providing easy access to product information for all users regardless of the location. Oce announced a new release of its Repro Desk job preparation and processing software for use with the Oce 9600 wide-format engineering printing system. PTC introduced its Pro/ENGINEER Shipbuilding Solutions, its new CAD software developed specifically to meet the design engineering needs of the shipbuilding industry. Quillion Ltd announced Quillion DataBridge, a data consolidation platform designed to help organizations unleash the potential of the increasingly large quantities of data available from multiple sources both internally and via the Internet. Selectica, Inc. announced the release of Selectica SME, a new version of its ISS designed specifically for the requirements and resources of small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). SolidWorks Corporation announced 3D Instant Website, a new tool that enables SolidWorks users to quickly and easily create and publish live Web pages with 3D interactive content. SolidWorks Corporation announced its 3D PartStream.NET service, the latest addition to the company's suite of 3D Internet solutions.
